Is the cat OK? Cat's often come off worse than the squirrel....

just googled it about being illegal to release grey squirrels, you guys were right )t' , on a RSPCA site it says that you can`t keep or release them, ooh didn`t know that, it says if you find one injured or ill best thing to do is put it to sleep {cry}

just checked on Sidney, he`s dead {cry} , think the cat did more damage than it first looked, poor Sidney {hug}

RIP Sidney.

Our son is 6'2" tall came down a ladder off the eave line at a much greater speed than he went up when a grey squirrel decided she/he didnt like him getting to close to her home. They can be extremely nasty and inflict very bad wounds on anyone/thing.

It is also illegal to release wild pigeons too. We found some babies in a roof we were re-roofing and had to remove them as when new roof on the parents wouldnt have been able to get in to feed them. We did let them go after looking after them for quite a while, but did it in an out of the way spot, so as not to be seen. )t'

That is a shame, but not surprising. Poor little soul.
I doubt I would obey the law, if the animal got better. I think the same applies to pigeons, but I have nursed them back and released them.
