Meg & her love of branches

Post by albertajune »

I've said before how our old dog Megan loves water and loves small tree branches. Yesterday OH took her to a country park near us that has both. She was in and out of the lakes and had a great time. At one point, the bank was very steep and OH thinking of his bad knee, found a good staff to help him ease his way down. He could hear her splashing about and wanted to see what she was doing. On his way down with his sturdy stick, this black, wet, shaggy Meg appeared, grabbed his stick, even though he shouted 'no Meg no' and dragged it from him. He took a tumble and ended in a muddy puddle just before the lake.
He was not hurt at all and did have a good laugh about it later. I said that will teach him, for throwing her lumps of branch into low ponds that are a bit smelly, so that I have to clean her up on coming home. {rofwl} {rofwl}
I am now a widow and live with my memories.
