Hi Mikey
I have suffered back pain for years and in December last year my back went wrong and i was in a wheelchair for nine months. I was on 8 co-dydramol a day plus 8 Codeine Phosphate a day. Then in september i had an Discectomy and i can walk pain free. I am off all the tablets and starting to build up the muscles in my legs.
Ask for a MRI with dye this shows what has gone wrong. I just happened to see a different doctor who put me forward to see the specialist.
Mr Hugh Maurice is a consultant orthopaedic spinal surgeon and operates at East surrey hospital or Gatwick Park
I am just looking forward to starting physio soon. )t'

Jeez - any normal person with that amount of pain killers - would be off their heads, unless there are back issues of course.

Thats a lot of tablets! glad that you have got it sorted. Getting better myself seems to be one joint that is still a bit stiff. Have found a heat pad works well and am about to try a tens machine. No longer using pain killers as I find they just upset me after a few days

I had Amytrip too but I found that once I took it - I had to be in bed within 30 mins or I would be asleep where I was..............
My pain relief dr-ugs pee me off occasionally, but having thought about it, combined with 6 heart related dr-ugs a day - yep I'm sick of taking all of them...................
