Yoga

Post by Mad Chick »

I'm starting a new yoga class tonight. I did yoga for quite a few years but haven't been for about four years now. I'm really quite nervous as my friend was my old yoga teacher so I always felt quite comfortable with her (apart from when she made me stand in warrior pose for several hours at a time). Hopefully I won't embarrass myself too much and will soon be bendy again >fi<

Have a good time Lucy, I used to really enjoy yoga but I kind of got out of the habit :oops:
Now youve got me thinking though - Might go looking for a local class ....

So glad your going back next week. I have been going to yoga classes for 30 years. Have been odd occassions with gaps but just cant beat it.
Having done Iyenga yoga for most of this time have moved on to a gentler over 50's class which suits my needs at the moment . Each class and teacher bring different things and I really hope you continue to go. Its so lovely to see new pupils in their later years coming along to my class, it really is never to late.
If you could stay in warrior for hours I really cant see a problem apart from asking your friend to go a bit easier on you ! )j;
Good luck )t'

I love yoga, glad you're getting into it again Lucy.

I find I have a real sense of 'peace' afterwards, if you get what I mean? {hug}

Hope to get back into it once my injury is sorted.

OMG! I'm still really aching :oops: Must have done some good then )t' that serves me right for being cocky when I first walked in, saw the average age of the person there and though 'this will be a doddle' )grin2(

At least I now know that I do actually have tummy muscles, just not very good ones {rofwl}
