Sorry to hear of your troubles Spreckly, glad your OH is feeling better.

Another thing, if it happens again, give some Dioralyte or own label rehydration sachets dissolved in water.

They don't taste very nice, but will really perk him up as they help replace everything that's gone down the loo (salts/sugars/electrolytes).

A fizzy drink is always good as well and regarding what to eat, I'd be guided by his appetite.

Thanks Benny. OH now pottering outside, and in his workshop. He was rather washed out yesterday. I will put rehydration sachets and fizzy drink on my weekend shopping list, for future use. We had fish for tea last night, and OH ate a normal helping.

Must be something going around.
We are both, not at all well, with it today.

>coc< poor you both too Wendy {hug}

All you can do is drink as much fluids as you possibly can and have some Dioralyte too. Be guided by your appetites and eat what you fancy, when you can. If you can't drink, you could try sucking on an ice cube or an ice lolly.

Hope you're both feeling better soon {hug}

Oh dear, Wendy, hope you both get over the bug soon. OH had no vomiting, by the way, and the Doctor said he was certain it was campano bacter (unsure of spelling), which I didn't look up on internet, as OH gave me quite a fright last week. He is on anti-biotics, finishes them tomorrow teatime.

I haven't eaten a thing, it started about 4 am this morning. Just drunk water.
But it is getting better with the tablets and a paracetamol. It was just so bloomin' painful.
Dog classes tonight, so I have got to get over it.

Oh no Wendy, you've not been taking those loperamide/Immodium tablets have you? >coc< But if you have to be able to get off the loo for your classes tonight.

Wouldn't recommend taking them as they affect how your bowel works, far better to let it all run through. Paracetamol is fine for that awful pain though and it may just help bung you up a bit as well.

Do you feel like eating anything?

Poor you Wendy, hope it's short lived whatever it is. Keep drinking loads and if you have it in the house full fat coke is good to replace the electrolytes as Bev advised earlier.
Take care {hug}

Don't feel like eating at all.
Do not drink any soft drinks only water or wine )grin2( so none in the house
To be honest as since 4 this morning I have been in the loo more than anywhere else, I sincerly hope it is out of my system.
If I am going to the club tonight. I have got to stop it some way.
Can't be anymore messed up, as I suffer from IBS anyway :?

No choice Bev.
I am a one man band and I can't let about 40 people down.
I even took two days of classes with a broken arm, before I went to the hospital )grin2(
