Memory Foam Mattress!!
What thickness is yours Barb do you know???
I am going to have a look about on the web tomorrow, Mr stace has his Xstop Op next month on his back, god willing this will work, its also for me i suffer with jaw and neck problems as i do tend to clench my teeth! Stace Bev xx
http://www.freshstartforhens.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" We bought a memory foam mattress from the internet and it is ordinary foam with memory foam on top, depending on how much you pay you get different thicknesses of each.
The first couple of days after we got it I was hobbling around and really stiff and aching; thought we'd made a terrible mistake! But now I'm used to it I love it to bits, it's really comfy and I wouldn't go back to a "normal" mattress, even with a memory foam topping. The shaped pillows I got with it are also brilliant, they took a bit of getting used to, but soooo nice now! Welcome, mrs butzi, don't worry about mistakes, we all do it! I'd forgotten about the thread, the topper worked for a while but we have realised that the mattress under is worn we have gone all out for a 'posh' mattress, lets hope this one is the most comfortable one ever..... its such a gamble I have chickens Blaze, Star and Comet, who have met Sunny Clucker in Cheshire :-)

I treated myself to a new bed and mattress (first one in 30 or so years!) a few months ago. It was pricy, but I guess it should last a long time. I got a full memory foam one, and its so comfy. I dont toss and turn all night, or seem to get too hot, even with up to 6 cats for company. My back is much better, although my asthama is a bit worse (wondering if linked to new mattress?) I even slept through 4 kittens doing Andrex pup impressions with the loo roll the other night. I am a very light sleeper after years of doing on-calls and sleeping with one ear open "just in case" but I do feel more refreshed in the mornings. Neutered pets are happy pets! Please spay or neuter your pets. There are thousands in rescue waiting for loving homes, and not enough people to take them on.

I used to suffer with this. After going to ear specialist about earaches, I was referred to the hospital dental specialists and they ground the surface of my molars to allow them to slip not lock. And I was given a plastic tooth guard to wear at night. I rarely need it now, but you might try a plastic gum shield like they sell in sports shops you mould it to your teeth with hot water and it does give some relief. The dentist made her a plastic guard and no more headaches. Go for it Stace. Wendy http://www.busheyk9.co.uk

When I asked my dentist they said it would cost £40 Which is why I tried the sports ones, they are not quite as good but better than waiting for hospital referral.
