wake up time!

Post by Mousey »

Hi I have been looking thru the forum to see what time i should be letting my ladies out in the morning? I have been up at various times from 5.45 to 7.30 this week and cannot tell what is better. I on the other hand feel like i havent slept in a month, I usually like to lay in as long as possible!! Any advice would be appreciated.

An auto pop hole opener!!!

I have a run / coop inside a large run, the girls can come out into the small run for water and food as soon as they want, then hubby usually lets them out about 7.30 - I do not do early mornings

When you normally get up. They get more daylight at the other end of the day in summer, compared to the 8 hours or so in mid winter, so they can wait (if the house is dark they won't even know). Of course they lay better in Spring and Summer, with a longer daylength, but I don't think you need to get up at dawn.
