That sounds interesting. I know when I go to craft fairs etc. they look very beautiful.
Can't burn candles as I have parrots and the fragrence, 'fumes' ,can kill them.

I buy candles and catch the moulten wax, put them in a tin and bung some string in !

But I'd much rather do as you. It must be very satisfying, especially playing around with aroma's.

What's your favourite, mines Vanilla.

I'm on 20 a day! I love tea lights and put them on the hearth by the log burnrer. In fact sometimes if the fires not lit I put some inside to make it look like a fire.! I prefer the vanilla scent as it is the only really discernnable fragrance. Mum goes to craft fairs and buys the novelty shaped candles, I have 2 seahorses but may never burn them, and the same with the xmas snowmen and santas. I'm sure the ceiling down here is not as white as it should be ...hey ho! (f+

Does anyone meditate with them, or practice candle magic ?

I find them very relaxing. I occasionally go into Canterbury Cathedral, down into the Crypt and light a candle, then just sit there til it goes out.

The last bits of candles and tea lights are great for helping light the fire...they melt on the wood and get it going in no time

I use candles all the time... in oil burners, in coloured glass pretty ornamental burners...I also use them regularly when I do Reiki healing.... lighting the candle is often the nicest way to *begin* a healing session, sets the atmosphere and is a lovely way to go *into* yourself as you watch the flame.... :)

I don’t mind the odd one but I find scented candle over powering, they give me a head ache and can make it difficult to breathe properly. I’m the same with perfume; I will walk out of my way rather than walk directly in front of a perfume shop I find it that repugnant.

Sounds like you have a sensitive nose - or an aversion to cheap perfumes!!

I must be so un-couth! Although I love candles I can't do meditation, just start thinking about riding horses or something. As for 'melts' thought they were a bit of a cow you ate.
