Cross stitch . . .

Post by poncharetta »

Hey All,

I am trying to locate good, tasteful and attractive cross-stitch patterns that aren't too complex. Things like small wall hangings or cushion covers but relatively simple. Any suggestions?

Try googling 'free cross stitch patterns'. Here's one to be going on with, but some of these are definitely complicated! http://www.free-cross-stitch-pattern.com/

Thanks Ruth, the ones I like are wayyyy too hard! What about books on learning to crochet? I would love to make a blanket but knitting escapes me every time!

I get mine from Redicut on the internet.
They do the whole range.
The one I have just done is quite easy.

I have thousands of patterns just let me know what you like and what your level is adn I will see what I can do. And you think they are too hard but seriously with a bit of practice its not as hard as it looks I have always done it a stitch at a time but I know loads of people who do it on a frame a line at a time I just get all my threads tangled but I have still done some beautiful pieces I did three Christmas stockings they took me 3 months each but I have done some very simple patterns. Why dont you purchase a cross stitching magazine not only are there some simple patterns but there are some harder ones on top of that there is a page at the back that shows you how to do the stitches and how to tie off, but again if you tell me what type of thing you like I can try and help.
