A birthday bouquet

Post by Stef »

Stabbed, sorry, needle felted, for a colleague who said she liked my first effort.

It's really good fun looking for templates. So far I have used cookie cutters, cereal boxes and a kit, although that is my least favourite. Having used the holes in a cereal box I will be using more cardboard to cut out more shapes. It is quite easy!

That got used to make this

And the whole bouquet is this

Now. Perhaps I can put the roving down and play with the sewing machine. It is looking lonely!!

Thats really pretty Stef.... Do you just cut the shapes from a template into felt and then stitch together?

I would love to have a go at making some... :-D

I think it's needle-felted rather than cut from pre-made felt.
I bought some needle-felting supplies for my daughter for her birthday ... after a month, she's managed to make about two beads {rofwl}

Sara, pop over to my blog, in my sig. I have made a simple tutorial that shows how I stab wool into shapes to make the flowers. It's called needle felting.

But before you do take care. It is addictive!

My son and his girlfriend bought me a felting kit for Christmas. I had never heard of it until then but I can't wait to have a go. I need a bit of spare time though, I can't wait.

I love what you have done, Stef. The flowers are lovely.
Sunny Clucker welcome in Barnsley.
