I'm an Archer.

Post by RubySlippers »

:-D

Actually that was fun to even type! I've been shooting since about September so I still feel a bit fraudulent saying I'm and "Archer"

It's really quite fun, and the only "sport" I've ever been any good at (probably becuase it's nerdy and non active!) so I'm going to keep it up and see if I can get to competition level :)

Anyone else?

I have tried archery a couple of times on activity days and it's a lot of fun. I kept hitting my left forearm witht he string though - got some quite impressive bruises!
Waiting to welcome Sunny Clucker to Northern Ireland!

When my sister was alive. Her and her husband were very 'in' to it.
They loved it

Its a great sport :-D One of my friends at work is an archer, a very good one at that. She was in the ladies compund team in the 2007 World Indoor Championship in Turkey where she did very well.

Good luck and I hope you make it to competition level :-D

Oooh, compound bows are scary!

I'm sticking to recurve thank you very much! Less chance of me punching one of my own teeth out!

I wanted to have a go with hubbys old archery kit, but he wont let me. He has seen me with knives ( not that I throw them :shock: ) but being left handed scares the beejeebers out of him when I use anything pointed or sharp!! wussss (f+ . Good luck with your arrows, it must be fun! envy}}

I'm an archer and have always shot compound, which I can manage much better than a recurve. They're really not that scary. I've shot compound limited for 5 years. Glad you've discovered this amazing sport.
