Hi All,
I am going to visit CAT on wed the 21st of this month. The centre is about 2 hours and a bit from me.Has anyone ever been?Mid Wales is quite easy for me to get to from where I live now.I am looking forward to its many and diverse displays on hand. The whole issue of looking into different ways of power and doing things has long fascinated me.
I shall report back with my impressions of my visit.

Hi ged

You will have lots of stuff to report back on!!! Hope that they have lots on wave power - we are an island after all - tides go out and then come back in every single day.

That's a shame Ged. I hope it happens for you next month instead!

Hi.
The centre is full of good ideas such as,

Lift to the entrance is water powered
Multiple compost bins with different contents and ages
Wood chip store feeds the woodchip burner that powers the heating and water heating
Rain water recycling powers lift and flushes the loos
Solar water heating, TAKE NOTE OF THE WARNINGS, it gets VERY hot
Small wind generators
Excellent bookshop with an excess of information, take lots of money, you will come away with gilded eyes

Best to go on a sunny day as it's 1/2 way up a mountain and there's a lot of walking (on the level) between displays.

The whole place is disabled friendly and well signposted.

Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before.
