Paper logs

Post by Ghost y »

Folks,
I need some help! Im very proud of my new paper log maker, but not very proud of the logs. Shredded newspaper left soaking for a week in "bleached" water, but most of it not disentegrating into the kind of mush you need to make a high density log that holds together. Any tips would be appreciated, as I have about 200 old newspapers stored by now (wife hates it).

I tear the paper into shapes rather than shred it. I found shreeded paper tends to 'hang' rather than mulch together.
Bit more graphic - just tear at random into pieces about 2" diameter.
