Thought I would give an update on this one, the 2 amberlinks (Bert and Amber)are fully integrated and they all go round as a flock together, they are really sweet birds, and have calmed down my unruly ex-batts! Sweet eh?

They just settled in and a neighbour that was down to just two exbatts asked me if we could home them for me.....they were very shy and had not had alot of attention, and were in a small run so it was a bit like having them straight from the battery but with feathers... very odd.

We have had the latest two (Doris and Linda) for a week and with alot of attention they have started to integrate properly with the rest of the gang and are really happy little birds now. I was worried about them the first few days as they got picked on quite alot but they are all ok now. So we now have 7 all together and a contented little flock they are. The lawn is a quagmire but the bushes I put in everywhere do help it to look reasonable and they love it so all is well. )c(

Glad all is well with your flock Netty. 7 happy hens in your lovely garden,
not so lovely now I guess, hope it will recover if and when we have a summer!
We miss having Amber and Bert and find it strange having to buy eggs again.
It had to be and I know they are even happier with you.
