That's why I use a free range egg mayo, (c) simply delicious , wouldn't touch edited company name with a barge pole )de: I make my own coleslaw etc & I'm the worlds worst chef yike* but I'm "not" buying it.
Well done you, they must be so fed up with us constantly writing, i love it )t'

F**Kers! )de:

Reading their response made me very cross.

Wouldn't it be great if instead of the few labelling foods that use free range eggs, all egg usage had to state how the eggs were produced ie., battery farm eggs? Or even better, a photo of the hens that laid them!

It is the same reply churned out to everyone. Vote with your money don't buy it.
I love cooking, but cannot be bothered with the hassle of mayonnaise.
I buy the Simply Delicious range they are free range mayo and tartare.

i can't help it, it's an illness LOL
When me & my sister went out on saturday night, I was waiting for my other 1/2 to collect us, she went off to get even more chips than we'd had already, now my sister can be fiesty when in the right mood, she was in the chip que & some guy said "hello you look nice" how corny sile} she said "well you don't mate eating that chicken......" & went into a huge lecture about where it comes from, in graffic detail without skipping bits, she was suitably fuelled with wine, so i can imagine, she said by the time she'd finished, he was sort of chewing it like he was going to bring it all back up again, he didn't expect that one )t'

Mel

Could do with a lot more like your sister!

On another note, the mayonnaise is mentioned but no one has said anything about the company and all the 'food' it produces.

The boycott should be anything that is made by the groups that are within it.

You have to fill her up with wine first, it's like winding up a clockwork toy, but more expensive, she doesn't usuall say boo to a goose, except when some young lads chased a pigeon in Cambridge, then she went for it again :-D

Richard,
Another discussion worth 'moving'? I think the crux is 'In addition, our ongoing consumer research into this area shows that consumer interest in a free-range edited company name product is currently too small to support a free range option. ' This kinda misses the point - to my mind. It shouldn't be an 'option' but perhaps 'The 1st Free Range Egg based Mayo should/could fly? Money is the driver and a leading question to a 'consumer' such as 'Would you be prepared to pay a little more for F-R-Es based Mayo?' you would get a 'No'. However, if you said, 'Are you satisfied that your Battery Hens (with or without Eu Regs) are the best way to produce the best (tasting) product?' then people may say 'Hmmmm!'. If you show the conditions the ladies/girls are in to produce the product (includes cakes etc) and put it on the display stand AND label - who would actually buy the product? I am NOT picking on H. Merely following what is said elsewhere - ignorance is bliss for the Accountants & Shareholders! A better Q would have been to ask 'Would you support a X% increase in price, for a BETTER product using F-R-Es and supporting Barn/Free egg production whilst supporting Hen Welfare?' Reminds me of 'Pig in the Middle - the TV show - where the chef's mustard sauce was 'commercialised' and had all ingredients screened (including the name) to fit a Company Profile. The Chef thankfully turned down fame for integrity.
Slave labour USED TO BE an acceptable way of picking cotten. Coca Cola USE to contain Cocaine!

I just emailed edited mayo company name US:

Do your customers realise that you are using eggs from cruelly treated Battery Hens in your products? I saw the twonk sent by your PR dept that skips the issues completely. Would your customers prefer just to see photo's of what these poor hens look like after a year in a tiny cage? Would you like to see them? I have used your mayonnaise for 30 years (to my shame) and will never buy it again until you use Free Range Eggs, I am fairly sure that the hundreds of people I know will feel pretty much the same. How can you condone this treatment of hens by hiding behind regulations?

company website url edited (Its a US site and will not let me put in a UK Postcode, I made up a USA one but did state I was from the UK and gave my address.)

Also sent it to three other company websites edited

I do not know if any names will be edited from this post, if they have to be I understand

I have never liked spam emails but I think this one could be the exception, might send it to everybody.

Ps: Our girls were not in such a terrible condition as others I have seen, can anyone send/post me their own pics that I can use?
