My three girls need a new home

Post by tonyd »

I’m afraid that due to the change in mine and my family’s circumstances. (Longer work hours, new babies and a possible house move) I have to re-home my 3 girls as I cannot continue to give them the time and attention they need and deserve.

I have had these 3 since Feb 2009 (one was oven ready when I got her) and since then they have flourished into spoiled little ladies that will come running out to meet anyone who comes to see them.

Every month they have been sprayed for red mite (along with the house) and have always had a monthly dose of Verm-X as well.

To go along with the girls if required is the house made of treated plywood (4 x 3 x 3ft high) and their secure run (8 x 6 x 5ft high). The house and the run can be dismantled into sections to take it away and should all fit into the back of an average family estate.
If anyone thinks they may be able to give these little ladies a good home then please leave me a message or PM and I will be in contact

Thanks in advance Tony.

Thats a shame Tony. Ask on the forum as well.
You never know, many irons in the fire and all that.

Whoppee! I've never been on a forum before! My family have been preparing to have ex- battery hens for eggs and cos we love chooks. Their noises make me shiver with delight! We are within weeks of being ready, just fencing to finish. Are your girls still waiting for a home? Watford is a long way but I'm often at heathrow if that would do for a handover? Let me know. Thank you. Mandy.

Hi medames and welcome.
My girls are off to a good home with mok79 and his family this weekend but keep looking on the forum as there are always rescues going on in all areas of the country every month.

Tony.

 I know !!!! We have had real withdrawals without some ladies in our lives. Especially my 6 yr old who absolutely loves eggs. He would at them all day everyday if he could :?
Anyway we decided that we would start looking again as our circumstances have changed. So came on here on the off chance and, as if by fate, there was Tony's post.

We are all so excited we can't wait until the weekend. )w(

A big thank you to Tony for everything.

What a happy ending! )t'

Gav, have you had to buy all the equipment again after rehoming your last chooks, or did you manage to hang onto it all?

Unfortunately we gave everything away. So we will be starting from scratch. However, saying that Tony has very kindly said we can have the run and coop he has....... )t'
