Howz them there girls today Dave?
My sister printed me some photo's of the little disabled chook last night, she is gorgeous, top chook too )t' she's first out in the mornings & shoves all the others away from the food & is very bold, that's why she hasn't a feather missing, she's a feisty little madam :-D
I'll post some pic's when she sends them )t'
Cheers

i let them mix as from lunchtime
a couple of standoffs a couple of small rows
its mainly the one in the pics (smallest bird)
she is having a pop at all the new girls
even though she is the smallest
all the new girls are at least 2-3" taller
what is it with small peaple always attitude
problems!!
i had 6 eggs from the 8 new girls yesterday
all in the nest box
last night when i came home from work i went and
checked the new arrivels
they were all roosting but all over the place not one on the roosting rack
so i put them all onto it with the old girls
i think i have been quite lucky
all the new girls are in good condition and they have settled down
very quickly they are even eating pelletts and mixed corn
that i mixed in with the mash
the only problem is their eggs are huge
and that might make the old girls feel bad :-D

how was the gig last night
i am now going back to bed so i will read the review later

Awwwww bless yer big heart Mel - 200 chucks eh? Lucky little girls.
Well done you. A huge hug to you  (hee hee) on behalf of everyone you've saved.

Your girlies do look quite helthy Dave. I wonder whether its to do with how they are fed. the ones get stuck the back of the cages don't always stand such a good chance maybe...
