I'm just pleased that it seems that people haven't forgotten.
I order some free range chicken for OH every week in my Sainsburys order, most weeks you never get it, as it's out of stock, but i order it to see if they can provide it, he eats it all eventually )c+
Cheers

This subject was also on You and Yours, radio 4 today. They said that farmers were reluctant to lay out loads of money to convert their barns etc, into free range facilities, because they thought people would give up trying to find free range and wouldn't care what they ate, and go back to the cheap ones. Hugh W Thingy came on and said people were becoming more aware of animal welfare now, and it is in the farmers interest to make the investment.

In our local Sadsa last week I noticed that they had two brands of free range chicken, their own and another imported from France, I’m not quite sure why they have done this but at least its increased the availability of free range meat. I’m also not sure if the ready availability of fr4ee range is due to increased supply or just folk returning to their old ways after the novelty of HFW’s campaign.
