The end of an era :o(

Post by Meanqueen »

Very sad, couldn't help but shed a tear, {cry} just watched the last ever 'Last of the Summer Wine.' What a wonderful sit com that was, one of the best.

Yes, know what you mean - it was such gentle humour, wonderful characters, no violence, and a glorious setting. Will miss it.

we still had a good chuckle at the episode last night, what brilliant writing, casting
location etc to keep fresh and funny after so many years. When loved characters left you thought maybe the show would suffer but it didnt as new characters soon made their comic mark. Dont worry repeats will be shown soon no doubt :-D
It will be alright in the end , if its not alright, it isn't the end .

Ah, apologies, didn't twig.

I would imagine you half think one of them is going to suddenly appear around a corner.

It's a shame, but I guess it's run it's race. Looking back to see some of the people who've been in it is like a history of British light comedy!

It's a reflection of real life, much of our culture and heritage is disappearing - sad, but life moves on.
