Call the Midwife
Re: Call the MidwifeOooh I've got it on my Sky + ready to watch.
Think I said earlier in the thread, I'm not broody and we have no plans for children but I enjoy the programme and I really enjoyed the book too. I love anything medical, real life things though. Don't watch One Born Every Minute or that other programme Embarrassing Bodies either. One of my friends who is pregnant reckons I'd make a good midwife - I said oh no, it's too much for me but I'm fine once they pop out (even neonates). I've gone off piste a bit there Bev x
Our family: my-Lovely-Hubbly and I, Benny and our two little Ladies - Betty and Gloria. RIP dear little Ladies - Lottie, Cottie, Elsie, Dottie, Hilda and Margie. You may have gone, but are never ever forgotten.
Re: Call the MidwifeCaught up with Midwife last night
The bit where Chummy was demonstrating the gas and air was funny hey Bev x

I have chickens Blaze, Star and Comet, who have met Sunny Clucker in Cheshire :-)
I'm training to be a midwife!!!!!
Re: Call the MidwifeThink we will miss Chummy this series though.
It will be alright in the end , if its not alright, it isn't the end .

Annie, HOLBY CITY night tonight
Re: Call the MidwifeJust seen the latest episode on catch up, this series just gets better and better.
Re: Call the MidwifeAbsolutely!

Re: Call the MidwifeThoroughly enjoyed it!
I admit I was skeptical about enjoying it without Chummy and I wasn't sure about that Jane, but I kept loyal and switched on my iPlayer. It didn't disappoint. I swear I'll have a permanent imprint of my palm over my face from reading forums.
Re: Call the MidwifeI have only just started watching it this series and do enjoy the programme but it doesn't quite grab me totally, I think sometimes you need to watch programmes like this from the start to get the right feel for the characters.

Re: Call the MidwifeWatched latest episode on catch up this afternoon, oh I do enjoy this so much, I think I shall read the books again.
Jennifer Worth also wrote about death and dying and I found it very special, (sorry can`t think of exact right word to describe book). Would recommend reading it. |
