Stephen King at his best..........

Post by Don Roberto »

Stephen Kings new novel, Doctor Sleep. I am 2/3rds through it and it is a brilliant chiller, not as horrific or terrifying as some of his other books, but nevertheless a cracking good read.
It is a continuation of his earlier novel, The Shining. A truly compelling read, give it a go, it will not disappoint . Cheers me dears......... )wav(

Dr Sleep was the last book I read :)
I liked it.

SK always releases a book around my B'day, lucky me :)

I am currently reading Raising Steam, by Terry Pratchett, another author who, luckily for me, releases books around my B'day )t'

If you like SK you should try reading some of his son's stuff.
Horns by Joe Hill is a good one. It is written very much in his fathers style.

Thanks, I shall make an effort to acquire it, maybe with my new library card (my first Frugality for 2014).

I didn't know he had a son, let alone that he writes! Joe Hill is on the list :-D

I haven't read a Stephen King for ages so will order from the library. I must admit that I don't even give him a thought when looking for a good book as I have new favourite authors. Sometimes the old ones are the best )t'

I'm rereading the expanded edition of The Stand, have to keep it at work or would finish it in 24 hours. He is a genius at holding your attention with his brilliant writing isn't he?
