Times Past in the Countryside

Post by Spreckly »

It is a few years since I have frequented our library van. They changed their day, and the rotation of books is not very fast. But yesterday at the church coffee morning, I decided to give them my custom once more. Not many people use the van, and if we don't use it, we will loose it.

I chose several books, but the above title is totally absorbing, for anyone interested in social history, country living, etc. It is by Valerie Porter, by the way. There are masses of photographs even if the text

I have ordered one from Ammmzon, for 01p, plus p & p, but a bargain, as they retailed at twenty five pounds.
