 Hi Anna,
basically it is a disc with an indentation in the middle about 1 ich high and 1 and a half inch diameter, then a central post with round top.wrap paper round post (paper length and width10"x31/2"),fold in bottom and press against disc!
a picture of one is in permaculture magazine resources section, though mine came from America.

Hi ged

Do have another go at posting your photo's or putting up some more details of your paper pot maker -- I'm really interested in the idea.

Thanks

I just cutp newpaper into strips and wind round bottom of my rolling pin, then turn the tops over inwards to prevent unravelling.

The winter nights just fly by......

Today I bought a paper pot maker ... from Tesco. It cost £5 and was sole in the seasonal section which is currently devoted to gardening. Within this there was a children's gardening set of products, called 'Enchanted Garden'. The paper pot maker was part of this.

I've wanted to make my own paper pots for yonks, but am far too frugal to fork out £10 for two pieces of wood, no matter how nicely packaged. But having waited so long, I finally gave in and forked out a crisp fiver ... and I can truly say I am a practiced pot-maker!
