Several somethings for nothing!

Post by p.penn »

I went to our local farm shop today for some veg and while I was there, asked if they had any outside leaves for my chooks. They gave me a wooden lemon crate with 2 days worth of leafy treats for my chickens. When I got home I also found a couple of small bits of fennel, a little ropey on the outside but inside good.

So I got:

1 lemon crate which I shall wood preserve, line with plastic and grow veg in
2 days worth of treats for 6 chickens
2 bits of fennel

ALL FOR FREE!!! )c( )c( )c(

Next time you go, don't forget me! Could you ask for some egg trays too!!!!!!!

Good on you, maybe you would get more going at a certain time of the day? Like the offers in scoes.

My gran was quite shameless at this technique. She always got the old bacon bits and bones from the butchers for next to nothing and for my 18th party (many years ago) she blagged a victorian ewer from an antique shop to use as a punch bowl. I still have it.
