Myself and my buddy on the allotments, a retired joiner who's always recycing wood, decided to construct a frugal cider press!
Looks like it may be a good year for apples and we've been promised quite a few!

I was going to put one of those together over the winter ready for next year...

Now, I see you're just down the road in Grantham (20 mins south of me) and I have an abundance of apples. Would you perhaps be willing to meet up at some point?

Cheeky I know, but don't ask, don't get.

Perhaps I could bring a present for Julian ;)

The fine details are in my friend George's head, but these two pics are the basic plan! They are from a web site that no longer exists; a word document can be found with an extensive search.
We've decided the slatted bits between the pulp bags may be better with plain board and a few holes! )grin2(
