Distemper sounds like a good option then!

If we owned the place we live in we would distemper the shed - single brick and nice and cold. There was paint on the walls when we moved in, no longer as it all flaked off!

it will be a lovely messy job if it is... i remember the recent nightmares I recently had in my bedroom sorting this problem out... Loads of sanding, washing down , more sanding, more washing .... PAH!
