Fruit/veg cagesFruit/veg cagesI have an area of garden about 4m x 4m which I grow (try) veg and and some small fruit bushes (blackcurrants, gooseberries). We are plagued by squirrells, does not matter what you dig in they dig around everything. Pigeons are also a problem We are considering buying a walk in fruit/veg cage. Just wondered if anyone has any thoughts on this. It's not going to be cheap and do not want to waste money if it will not work. If anyone has bought one recently what was the most reasonable price etc.
Re: Fruit/veg cagesHi Cookie, I have made fruit cages from gazebo frames and netting. It will work out much cheeper than buying a dedicated fruit cage even if you buy a new gazebo to do it.

Re: Fruit/veg cagesGood idea AL, OH suggested he build one, but by the time he had proced up the wood, netting etc he thought it was not going to be much cheaper than buying one.
Re: Fruit/veg cagesThis is the one I made a while back.
