How long do you think you should leave a newly turfed lawn before you give it a feed?

Personally I don't feed grass- it only grows and then you have to cut it )j;

But I would leave it a couple of weeks to get its roots down.
And you must not cut the grass for 4 days before and after.
And it must be watered in.

At the moment you will be watering like mad just to get it established - the rain hasn't even touched the ground deficit here.
