Look what I just found!

Post by redd_angel55 »

I just can't believe that the Eglu has competition in this country. They are so popular, but also so expensive. I searched the net for alternatives and found this

It's just like the one Wendy's got. I was wondering about leaving the doors open and rain, cold are ect getting inside when Wendy posted the pics of her plastic house. Brilliant idea!

Yes, it is just like mine.
I am afraid neither of us are any good with saws, hammers etc. So my girls have to have the door ajar. I have a tarpulin over the top, so the rain doesn't get in as the door isn't open very far. They are outside in the cold or in a warm nest, laying, inside, in the day.
I think it is brilliant too, if someone want to come and convert mine I would be happy. LOL

Wendy, what did you do to ensure ventilation when the doors are shut?

Down all the sides there are holes, that they give you little plugs to put in. I just left them out.

Ah, I see! Thanks for that Wendy )t'
I think OH is going to put in for divorce if I get another coop, but I am sooo tempted [evil giggles], it looks so easy to clean.
First sign of red mites and I'll be at B&Q's!
