Collecting new girls tomorrow

Post by pinkchicky »

OOOOHHHHH! I can't wait! I am getting my new girls tomorrow!

I have been waiting for nearly 6 weeks for 1 of them to be old enough!!!

I will post some pictures!

Just 1 question am I best to get them in the morning or the afternoon? I.e put them straight to bed or let them explore?

You could get them whatever time you want...pop them in the coop and let them come out in their own time into the run. Keep an eye out to see if they find the food otherwise you could sprinkle a bit at the door and put the feeder / drinker near to it.

OOOhhh, how exciting. You have waited a long time.
I collected mine yesterday afternoon and just put them in the run and they did their own thing.
All the girls are sunning themselves today in there own halves of the run. )t' {hug}

I have my 4 new girls and they are lovely, not too much hen pecking for most. One chicken is getting slightly more than the rest but hopefully they will sort themselves out soon!

Image This is Nugget she is a Bluebell

Image This is Pea (Chick Pea) she is a Cream Legbar. She is the smallest and they are all "picking" on her.

Image This is Paxo she is a Speckledy and was very shy to start with but soon found her spirit!

Image This is Dorcas a Silver Dorking.

Image These are Peggaty and Ethel my 2 originals!

Love them love them love them!
