Iwill not be beaten LOL

Since i got my girls i have been trying different feeders with them bowls dog bowls chicken feeder and every day i have to clean the floor 4 or 5 times because they love nothing more than tipping over the dish or climbing in and flinging the food every where.

Today i claim victory ( for now) using some guttering and scrap wood to construct a trough that to my surprise they all ran straight over to and used without issue.

Hiya,

They look like ex-batts, if they are, the trough feeder will always work because the feeder that battery hens eat from is a long trough that the food passes along at the front of the cage. Only difference here, is they have the freedom to roam once they are full. )t'

When you have a lot of chooks guttering is your friend.....glad your hens like the guttering...

That's a great idea ... we might borrow it if you don't mind
1 hubby, 2 grown up kids, 2 rescue dogs, 7 chickens (Goldline, White Sussex, Bluebell, Marans and 2 ex batts), 1 cockatiel, tropical and pond fish.
