advise please

our new isa browns,that we have had for 1 week,wont come down off the perch/platform because they are scared of the 3 ex batts.
so we have put water and food on the platform,but do you think that hunger an thirst would bring them down if we put it on the floor were the ex batts eat and drink,sort of forcing them
last night we left it later to shut them in and 3 ex batts snuggled up and 3 isa brown in,just 1 wasnt in bed,so progress
