Got my new girls...

Post by lizziedoggarden »

and they are in a bad state {cry}
These are the hens I got from the burger man, he told me they free ranged and were loved..what a liar...they are skinny and I mean skinny, they all had filthy bottoms when I got them, one has a limp and all got pale faces. If I didn't know better I'd said they came from the cages {cry}

Lots of good food, poultry spice and love and I'm sure they will flourish. The little girl with the limp I'm keeping an eye on. I can't see anything obvious so think it's a sprain. They all seem to have settled in ok, only a few scraps but otherwise ok )t'
Don't dream it, BE it....

Am looking forward to welcoming Sunny Clucker to Woodbridge Suffolk!!!!!

You are such a lovely lady taking on the burger mans unwanted girls. I'm sure in a few months time you will have them looking in great shape.

A big massive {hug} to you and your new little girls xx

It's going to be lovely for you in the very near future, you'll be able to see such a vast improvement. The good care, love and attention they're getting from you - your chickens will respond well and soon.

Your flock must be looking better now that you have taken some more 'rescues' and it wont be long before these hens respond to a bit of TLC I am certain )t'

Well done Lizzie, your new girls will soon be beautiful with all your love and attention.
I know what Perchy means, the last girls we got were supposed to be from a free range set up, the smell was awful and they were so skinny and bald in places, but it didn't take long for the smell to go and they all look lovely now. Sending {hug} to you and your lucky girls.
