May I just say how interesting this site is, well done guys, very helpful. I have just been given the go-ahead to keep four chickens. I live on the edge of Exmoor in a cottage on my bfs parents land and they have said its ok to keep chickens in an ark. My dad and I are going to build a 8x4 run with a 1.5x4 housey bit on it. As it will be a triangle we will need to design nesting boxes and perches. Will the chickens nest on the ground? Can anyone help me by showing me pictures of theirs or any advice? I am hoping to rehome 4 ex battery chickens, have left a message with the welfare people to call me. I am very excitied, my "mother in law" has about 20 chickens so I can ask for her help with care and of course, this site. But I want to make sure we get the ark right. Many thanks in advance. Kate
