CAN ANYONE HELP ME? One of my birds has a really distended crop and it is squidgy - is it a blockage? She is bright and seems to be eating and does not look to be in pain but it hasn't gone down for 2 days now and I am worried it might be serious if I leave it. Should I take her to the vet or try the veg oil route? This worries me as I am not sure about what I am doing and don't want to make things worse. She had some porridge and crushed eggshell the other day and i am beginning to think that this has caused the problem. Is it common to have such a bulging crop? I have tried gentle massage but this hasn't worked.
Any advice please?
