Re: Annie's Girls.Well done Hester Love their beautiful pink chalet, looks gorgeous as do Hester,Annie and Poppy. I know you can put down netting to sop woodchips going into the mud but mine constantly dig up embedded woodchips being as digging and kicking are their fulltime hobbies so the woodchips are always rising back upto the service(if that helps)

No eggs today but my one of my daughter's girls laid her first egg today. Re: Annie's Girls. Two more eggs today, clever girls, so that's 3 in total. I found one in the nest box and the other in the coop right by the door. I'm surprised it survived then clambering over each other to get out.
Re: Annie's Girls.Woohoo It's just the greatest feeling isn't it?!
No girls at the moment but look forward to getting more in the future. Proud mummy to Hector, a Bedlington Terrier x Jack Russell

Re: Annie's Girls.congrats on your eggs!
Your coop is great and I love the pic of the little girl with the chooks in the sunshine i always thank my girls too and throw a handful of corn Re: Annie's Girls.I will also thank them with corn.
Re: Annie's Girls. No eggs this morning, maybe later.
Re: Annie's Girls.Just one egg again today but it was 49g so they're getting bigger. Might be more later on but it's dark by the time I get home from work so I won't know until tomorrow. Roll on the clocks changing, it will be lighter then.
Re: Annie's Girls.when the weather decides what its doing i think all the chooks will lay properly. They love the sunshine just as much as we do
Re: Annie's Girls.Maybe they are holding off laying until they get their weed guard
