Inspiration.Re: Inspiration.Al, that looks really good.
A couple of questions. What's the bar top? Are you going to start a thread on the idea you have for the stove? Allotment http://taylorsplot.blogspot.com/

Hi Orfy, the bar top is made up of three pices of timber that were once uprights to support a church organ bellows. There is a picture in this thread. viewtopic.php?f=44&t=18896&p=223614&hilit=organ#p223614 I will do a thread when I get round to making the stove, chances are it wont be for a while though. Re: Inspiration. No doubt your great imagination and hard work has also increased the value of your property. Really good investment, don't you think? Outside space is considered very valuable when a person is selling a home. It would be nice to know how much value you have added. Do you know someone in the real estate game that could advise you?
Re: Inspiration.Phase three the wood fired oven was started this morning.
First thing take the tree out. Then build the stand for the oven. At the allotment I have some huge concrete slabs, I was goiing to pave a shed floor with them but the first one will be ideal for the base of the oven, I will be adding at least another inch of reinforced concrete inside the brick work. I have a cunning plan for the roof which hopefully will be on tomorrow. So far everything is recycled apart from sand and cement, I paid £21 for it this morning but wont be using all of it for the oven. Relax, I could have been a twin.
Re: Inspiration.A wood fired oven? Hmmmm, or a fire monkey? Hmmmm, wonder what my next project will be!
Looking good Al. Some days you're the pigeon, some days you're the statue.
Re: Inspiration.Got the oven part finished today.
Still got some cladding to do on the stand, I may put doors on the side of the stand and use it as a log store. Tomorrow I am going to make some doors for the front of the oven out of metal. Relax, I could have been a twin.
Re: Inspiration. That looks amazing! I reckon when you're finished you should tour the country so all our gardens can get the Al Experience
