RunningRunningI started running on Boxing Day, and it's been hard going. I started off with a few seconds running, gasp, puff, walk, then another brief run, more gasping, etc.
Last night I went for my first run after 3 weeks off, and was amazed that I managed the first section of my normal route all in one go, when at the beginning it would have been in 3 or four segments of that. It's really nice to finally feel I'm making progress! I have even had a brief sensation that if I was able to breathe and my legs weren't on fire it might even be enjoyable! Re: Running
Not as well as I should BUT I will have to make an effort, as I've pledged to do my own sprint triathlon sometime during my 50th year (gives me until March next year!) so I need to be able to 3 miles easily - as well as bike 12 miles and swim half a mile. I have been out on my bike, and my son and I did the coast to coast rail the other day - 22 miles, without training, but no problems and no soreness the next day Missing my little friend Sunny Clucker
Re: RunningI really can't run - never could, not even as a child.
Apparantly, my legs look like two windmills when I try to. Helen xx
