Body for Life?Body for Life?Anyone ever done the Body for Life programme?
It's great. I was just wondering if anyone on the forum had tried it. Craig Re: Body for Life? Not heard of it - will have a google, am interested in things like this.
Later.... Ugh! Not for me - hate muscle-bound bodies, and the website looks a bit tacky. Re: Body for Life?
I agree with the website comment. The before and after pics are definately far fetched too but I read the book and in short the programme is this: Eat 5/6 small meals per day consisting of a portion of protein and a portion or carbs each time for eg; a Chicken breast and a jacket potatoe. Train 6 times per day alternating between resistance (weights) and cardio each day for no more than 20 mins each session. Have a cheat/rest day every seventh day. This programme really works and in 3 months the results are amazing!
Re: Body for Life?Might work for some but not for me.
When I'm at work I doubt I could fit it in. Early shift, get up at 4.30am and can just about force down a bowl of cereal that early. Hour and a half to work on the train with no room to excercise. Same on the way home getting back at 5pm then running the kids around and early to bed. Late shift I get up at about 8am do a few jobs and on the train by 1pm, so maybe a chance for a couple of meals and a bit of exercise. Then I would be home by 1230am - 1am. Night shift I would be out the door by 9pm and not home until 9am, sleep a few hours. Wake up knackered and see to the kids/do a few jobs and off out again. Don't feel up to doing much on nights At work I get two 15 min breaks and a 30 min break so I could eat or exercise but not both and we're not allowed to eat while working. Maybe when I retire I could fit this type of regime in but not now Dom Ali Woks My World
Re: Body for Life?Eating and exercising 6 times a day can't leave a lot of time for much else! Results may well be good (I do believe in eating little and often, and exercising) but for me quality of life means chunks of time for other things too. Sorry!
Re: Body for Life?LOL flippin 'eck.....I meant 6 times per WEEK for 20 mins each day. Ooooops!
