Special shape kettle for woodburners!
Special shape kettle for woodburners! My woodburners is small and not much flat area on top as the flue is a top connected one. Does anyone know of a source of oblong shaped kettles (or even a sauce pan)?
Re: Special shape kettle for woodburners! Some of the camping type pans are rectangular, but they don't look very substantial to me, rather like sardine tins!

Re: Special shape kettle for woodburners!Nearly Manda, the handle may get a bit hot though. I'm looking for SS or black. Base must be 150mm because stove is small. looking for a source in the UK. Thanks.
Re: Special shape kettle for woodburners!I was thinking laterally on this one and thought that a Storm/Kelly kettle might work. As it's designed to sit over a fire pot it should be able to handle being on a stove top. They come in several sizes starting at around 14cm.
Might be worth a look. Dom PS As an added bonus you could take it out with you and have a good kettle to make a cuppa while out and about. Ali Woks My World
Re: Special shape kettle for woodburners!Good idea Dom.

Re: Special shape kettle for woodburners!Well, that copper one looks pretty lethal! Titanium is fine if you can afford it. I need a 2ltr with 6" (150mm) base SSteel. Am I on a US forum (I'm in the UK so any example would best be Amazon.
Re: Special shape kettle for woodburners! No we are an English site, our 'boss' has just given up this very English job.
Are you still looking for a kettle then? Dance caller. http://mo-dance-caller.blogspot.co.uk/p/what-i-do.html

Re: Special shape kettle for woodburners!I've just given up doing IT, websites and Telecoms and now have an allotment, looking to do some volunteering. So, yes I am still looking. My stove only has 15cm of flat surface either side of the flue. Most kettles are about 20 - 25cm. It seems only thing available is a 2ltr hot water jug but they can cost over £20.
