.... I'm sitting on my yard with my back against a stable, binoculars to my eyes, watching a blue tit tell a thrush to leave the newly filled bird table alone. It's silent at the stables, sunny and warm. I'm alone except for three horses grazing in another field, the chickens in their paddock, two dogs having their afternoon nap and the wild birds.
Then two yellow eyes appear and stare un-blinking at me through the binoculars.
Turns out the Saluki had woken up and wondered what was pressed to my face, so decided to check it out from point blank range.
Also turns out both me and the Saluki scream like girls
I can't be the only owner to have been startled by their animals, can I? Go on, spill your beans
