Hostas
HostasHi - can anyone tell me whether hostas are supposed to die back in winter? I was given one late in the year and have had it indoors as a houseplant, but the leaves are yellowing and dying now. Is it me or the plant?
Re: HostasI think they do die back (outdoors)
Re: HostasYes they do die back. l would plant it in the garden while the soil is still warm, or do the same next year. They are happy in a large pot if you have no space, out of direct sun and doesn't mind a damp place if you can protect it from slugs.
Because my memory is not brilliant......http://debrazzaman.blogspot.com/
Re: HostasThanks, both - as you can tell, I'm no gardening expert.
