Meet Hector
Meet HectorAfter umming and ahhing for quite some time about getting a companion for Lollie, we have fallen in love with a little scrap who we will call Hector. He is a Bedlington Terrier x Jack Russell and we pick him up on Sunday morning! As he ages his coat will lighten to grey. Sunday and beyond is going to be interesting when Lollie meets him Off to buy puppy supplies tomorrow, getting giddy!

Re: Meet HectorOh he is gorgeous jemberelli, what a little cracker, how big will he be.
Re: Meet HectorHe will stay quite dinky, maybe just a bit taller than a JRT. As you can see, he'll be a scraggy little thing but they are non-moulting which is good! Hope Madam Tess is well, I love reading about her in the daily thread

Re: Meet HectorWhat a sweetie. Have fun!
Re: Meet HectorWell, Hector was brought home this morning. The initial meeting with Lollie went as well as could be expected. The rest of the day went slightly downhill! Lollie just barked and barked at him - she seemed very stressed (understandably) and did not look like she was taking to the situation at all well.
This evening, she has had a great play with him in the garden, they have snuggled up together on the settee and she has bugged the heck out of him when he was trying to settle for a nap and she wouldn't leave him alone! She was trying to snuggle up to him and he was too hot and kept trying to get away but she kept following him! From one extreme to another! All quiet now, both asleep so we'll see what happens at bedtime! No girls at the moment but look forward to getting more in the future. Proud mummy to Hector, a Bedlington Terrier x Jack Russell
Re: Meet HectorAww too cute for words, they love snuggles
Re: Meet HectorWhat a little sweetheart. I'm sure it's a case of him being "mothered" and he will take it all in his stride until things quieten down.
You are in for a lot of fun and great for Lollie to have a new companion. I am now a widow and live with my memories.
Re: Meet HectorAwwww he is absolutely adorable and I'm sure in time, he and Lolllie will be best of friends

Re: Meet HectorIt has been an interesting couple of weeks! We have had the full range of emotions & behaviours from Lollie I think - jealousy, toy guarding, playing, chasing, growling... However, they seem to get on really well now, playing nicely and, as you see below, cuddling up nicely too! Phew

Re: Meet HectorTonight is our first puppy class which is not before time. He only knows one type of play at the moment and that is with teeth bared and all guns firing! Lollie rough & tumbles him all over and it is difficult trying to teach him other ways at the moment. Hopefully meeting other puppies might calm him down a bit and if not, at least we will get a bit of discipline instilled in him! Life is interesting, fantastic and exhausting at the same time!
