I forgot to tell you. You may have read my whinging about the dodgy shoulder. Well, after six month's of tests, an Orthopaedic Surgeon diagnosed what the Kent CCC Physio told me last August (two injections, two x-rays and a scan later etc!).
It's nothing too bad, a shoulder impingement, the Rotator Cuff. I'm saying it's a sporting injury through bowling at a speed of 96mph, but really, it's because I'm an old git !
I'm having it done May or June, possibly July, keyhole job, in and out same day (Subacromial Decompression).
Well, at least I won't have a problem getting to sleep that day !
They reckon it's a fortnight recovery, but I'm realistic, so not holding my breath there. The Kent Physio's have said they'll treat me afterwards, so I'm in very good expert hands there.
Just happy it's being done.

My brother-in-law is waiting for something to do with his shoulder...he's had surgery, cortisone injections and now after months they are going to go back and do more surgery and a nerve block so here's hoping you both have success from it (don't know when his is going to happen he's going on a cancellation list).
Nobody should have to be in pain...it has such an effect on every part of your life.

I have just had exactly the same op on one of my shoulders Due to a skiing injury(sounds good but not as cool as it ought to be )Dont worry the discomfort is nothing compared with the constant pain you will have been in(i whinged too )Good luck for a speedy recovery,Im back at the gentle phsyio stage its only a couple of weeks since the op but am on the mend(can now pull up trousers without wincing )and cursing
If you always do what you always do ,you will always get what you have always got!
Good luck Richard, I am sure everything will be just fine.
How good are those Kent physio's for treating you afterwards.
I have had lots of physio for my back over the years and ended up paying a private physio who specialised in sports injuries. It was mega expensive but far better (in my opinion) than NHS physio's.
