My take on the pallet wood BenchMy take on the pallet wood BenchOkay so I had to use three lengths of 3x2 that aren't from a pallet but they are still reclaimed timber. The rest is about one and a half 2.4 metre pallets.
The picture was taken just after the second coat of wax was applied, Once its dried a bit and had a good rub over it will have a slight sheen to it. Relax, I could have been a twin.
Re: My take on the pallet wood BenchVery nice

I have sanding discs that go on my grinder they are good for rough work but don't give a realy smooth finish. I gave the whole thing a quick going over just enough to prevent spelks. I will be getting some nice big cusions to go on it. Do you know anyone with a belt sander, it would make quick work of the sanding and you could just do the bits you will come in contact with when your sitting down. Re: My take on the pallet wood Bench
yup im going for big cushions too!! Ill have more of a think about sanding it, if i dont need to, ill try and get away with not doing it, because its going down on the allotment i want more of a rustic look xx photos of allotment & other nice things: http://pinterest.com/girlontheplot/

I would really like to try and make one. Is it hard and are there instructions? (I have never done anything like this before!)
Re: My take on the pallet wood BenchIt's alright for you doing the work with mains power tools, all mine are done on the plot with just a rechargeable drill that expires just before you finish the job! What's this "sanding" anyway?
Looks good though! I'd like to live as a poor man with lots of money.
