First pic of Beau
First pic of BeauOur little Beau is settling in so well. He has such a sweet disposition and if even after only 2days with us is gaining such confidence.
He will often sit next to me on the sofa but this is the first time that he has actually jumped up himself. We are registering him with the vet this afternoon and having a him checked over. Thought you might like to see his first pic. I am now a widow and live with my memories.

Re: First pic of Beau
No Gwen, they are gone. We took him to our vet yesterday for a check over. He has a tiny little bit of ooze coming from 2 stiches. The vet said that it isn't infection but has given him a course of antibiotics just in case. He also still has a little bit of infection in his ear that was really bad, so got drops for that. As for the problem he has with his leg if he over does it, that is the result of a displaced knee cap which he has probably had for some years and is a genetic problem. There is some thickening around the joint which is most likely connected to arthritis. The vet says that he is managing quite well so leave it alone. We have not seen him in any discomfort, so he has had no pain relief with us, although we have it if needed. I think that he will be helped with gentle exercise to build the muscle up. Just sitting for 6yrs must have a detrimental effect on their little bodies. I am amazed at how quickly he has settled in but of course we still have lots to do with him. He now sits but that is about all, unless he knows that food is in there somewhere. He is a delightful little fella who is at this moment eating his way through his first ever rawhide chewy I am now a widow and live with my memories.
Re: First pic of BeauIt is amazing how resilient they are isn't it June, they come out of their hell holes with so many problems you wonder if they'll ever recover, but they do. I have Bella on Yumove to help with her joint stiffness it really helps.
It's so lovely seeing Beau asleep on your husbands lap Bella will come up for a short cuddle but she is still a long way off being a lapdog, she only truly relaxes when she's in her bed. Still early days when you think where she was sleeping a few months ago. I'm so thrilled Beau is your fur baby now and is getting all the love and devotion he deserves.
Re: First pic of BeauAww bless, what a cutie! Here's to a long & happy future
