Yesterdays makes
Yesterdays makesFelt bored yesterday, so baked crusty white loaf, fruit loaf for breakfast toast and damson jam. The fruit loaf was lovely served with just butter.
I am now a widow and live with my memories.
Re: Yesterdays makesThe bread looks lovely and damson jam is my favourite!

Re: Yesterdays makesNom!
Nicely done :) Is it egg or a sugar glaze on the fruit loaf? Looks totally edible, either way.

Re: Yesterdays makes
I took it from the oven, brushed over a little honey and popped it back for a couple of minutes. Doing that, the loaf isn't sticky. As a matter of interest, it is the same mix as the ordinary loaf. I flattened it out, spread over a little butter, honey and dried fruit, then shaped into the loaf before leaving it to rise before baking. I am now a widow and live with my memories.
Re: Yesterdays makesThat looks really appetizing June. There is just something about home baking you never get with shop bought food. Hope you enjoyed it.

You wouldn't ask that is you could smell my place today. Been making apple chutney and it smells like a pickle factory. I am now a widow and live with my memories.
Re: Yesterdays makesIs the damson jam homemade? I haven't tasted any for years and years, not seen it in shops either.
Re: Yesterdays makesSpreckly, my hubby came home with a jar of damsom plum jam last week. He got it from Sainsbogs, the Bonne Maman range.
