further to last post, suddenly they are eating their pellets,tried mashing them up over night so in the morning they were in a solid sand like texture and they went for it, oddly enough now they dont eat their corn which they previously loved, so bizarre!

I have witnessed two attacks on newly introduced chickens last year, and only a few weeks ago, 7 chickens surrounding one, who had a deep cut on her back, pecking at her as if she was their food trough. We know chickens go crazy for the taste of blood but what is so alarming is the fact these 7 love...

well i am going to have to get some mash, tried the warm water and mashing the pellets up, mixed it up with other food and they picked around the mashed up pellets.....

just spotted this one, put this bit on ^first eggs^ Abby started laying yesterday, first egg huge and white and frosty looking, this mornings white again(she is brown) looks like a bit of shell has been scraped off and huge again.....

Well done, Abby produced her first one new years eve, it had a bit of blood on it and a strange frosty looking white shell (she is a ranger) but she was okay, this morning another weird looking egg that looked like a bit of shell had tried to be scraped off?
