So sorry to hear your sad news I lost little Lady this morning who'd been poorly for a couple of weeks (vet thought liver or kidneys). It was horrible to see her going downhill, esp. when her beautiful comb started to shrivel and turn purple, so I sobbed more watching her suffer than seeing her dead...

Thanks for the advice. There was no obvious mass/egg and despite baths and TLC she wasn't any better by this morning. So I took her to my lovely vet, thinking that he'd probably tell me her time was up. The chicken specialist happened to be there too, so they conferred and decided that it's not her ...
