Re: Loan paid off!

Good for you, nice one.

I'm about to pay one off, but by selling my Camper.
I paid 50/50 Cash and Loan three years ago, my loan is only £400 below the amount I borrowed !
I shall have enough to buy something for maybe £2,000 which will do me.

Hard to shake off.

But well done you )t' )t'

Re: Tax on plastic bottles

For me, it's that we are just custodians 'passing through' this Planet and I'm sure it is many peoples wishes to leave it better than when we came into it. The thing is that much of us not doing so will be down to the total irresponsibility of the few who only think about their own selfish need and ...

Re: Time for a pond

Fantastic, not only a great Garden Feature but a home for so many creatures. Watch out for your chooks though, they can't swim. I lost one of mine in the pond, but if you make it so they can climb out OK., all will be well. Really looking forward to see the progress. I think the sun's coming out by ...

Every one to their taste, viva difference.

I also think that Tom Jones is a living legend with an incredible voice.

I'd like to be a Judge, none of this 'I already have.....' etc.

I'd just say, Rubbish, get off.

Annoyance - audience racket !!

I don't watch X-Factor but have happened to see a snippit when zapping around. I watch the Voice because I think the concept is good, but only in the 'blind auditions' where the Judges can't see the Contestants. The New York Philharmonic do that, all applicants play behind a curtain so there's no di...

Re: Documentaries selling us short !

I've just timed George Clark's Amazing Spaces. With Intro, adverts, look backs etc = 38 minutes 50 secs. Looks like when commissioning Documentaries, Producers are asked to make a 40 minute programme !! The ad breaks are 4mins 5secs each x 3. Richard PS. Dragons Den do the same with long intros, wha...

Documentaries selling us short !

This mainly relates to Commercial Channels, but some BBC docs are also guilty. The programme starts, we see about 2 minutes of what's coming, then up to 4 commercial breaks, before each break we're shown what's coming next and after the break, what was on before. Then right at the end we get a coupl...

Lovely, but may, as they do through Winter, just be popping out for a top up. Bit like me, wake up at 7am then go back to sleep until 9.00 !! Someone said they had a Butterfly and Bee in their garden yesterday. Thing is it's getting really cold again this week, so that worried me a bit. Whatever, I'...
